Sunday Exhibit Open Hours - Fall For History!

When: Sundays, October 4 and October 25, 2026 · 1pm - 4pm

Where: Weston History & Culture Center, 104 Weston Road, Weston

On two fall Sundays the Center opened its exhibits, tours and grounds to visitors of all ages.

In the historic Coley Barn, the interactive exhibit “Weston at Work” told the history of agriculture, manufacturing and textile production in Weston and Connecticut, with hands-on activities for children: carding wool, weaving on a loom and raising a hay bale with a rope and pulley. Guided tours of the award-winning Coley House showed life on the home front in the 1940s, with toys, games, Lincoln Logs, a typewriter and a rotary phone to try.

In the Visitor Center, two exhibits told local stories of the American Revolution: “Sarah Treadwell: Connecticut Mom, American Patriot” and “Local Patriots & Loyalists of the American Revolution.” Visitors could also see oil paintings and picture books by Weston Middle School 8th graders made for America’s 250th birthday, and stroll the Daniel E. Offutt, III Sculpture Garden.
