History Matters!
We invite you to support the Weston History & Culture Center.
Please help us keep history alive by making a contribution to the Weston History & Culture Center. The Center is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and welcomes your long-term financial support as it is essential for achieving our mission to preserve our heritage for future generations.
It operates independently from town government and is not funded by taxpayer dollars. The WHCC is sustained by generous donations from local residents, local businesses, grants, programs, and volunteers.
The Coley House restoration, the Weston at Work exhibit, the archive that keeps growing every year — all of it exists because people who care about Weston's history decided to fund it directly. Every membership and every gift goes straight into keeping that structure standing.
Grant funding fluctuates year to year, which makes individual and business support even more directly load-bearing: contributions help install new exhibits, run educational programs, host community events, and maintain the historic structures across the 3.7-acre campus.

Annual Appeal
Every donation helps us to install new exhibitions, provide educational programs, host community events, and preserve the historic structures across our 3.7-acre campus. Please help us with your donation so we can continue to serve Weston and surrounding towns.
Each year's annual appeal offers giving-level recognition for larger gifts: past appeals have recognized a $5,000+ "Benefactor" level (with private use of the museum and education center for an event of up to 20 guests, a name on the Donor Plaque, and a family membership), a $2,000 "Patron" level (private event use for up to 10 guests, plaque recognition, family membership), and a $500 "Historian" level (plaque recognition, family membership).
Figures shown reflect the most recent published appeal and may be refreshed for the current year — ask us for the latest giving levels.
All donations made by check must be made out to the Weston Historical Society. Please mail to: PO Box 1092, Weston, CT 06883

The Weston History & Culture Center operates as a private non-profit organization and receives no funding from the Town of Weston and is not a line item in the state's budget. It is not to be confused with the Weston government-supported Historic District Commission, which is appointed by the Board of Selectmen.
Planned Giving — The 40s Society
The Weston History & Culture Center's 40s Society is a community of forward-thinking individuals who are creating a lasting legacy of support dedicated to telling Weston's stories. By simply naming the Weston History & Culture Center in your estate plans, you automatically become part of this community.
The Society takes its name from the Coley House: built in 1841, the Greek Revival style house was lived in by five generations of the Coley family, and its restoration and reinterpretation focus on life in the 1940s.
