A Home's Legacy - Peter Thorp House Memories from Margo Melton Nutt & Maryclare Roos

On August 15, 2024, Margo Melton Nutt, daughter of opera star, car collector and former Weston resident, James Melton, and Maryclare Roos, current owner of the Melton home, came together for the first time to discuss growing up in Weston, James Melton and the legacy of his home, now known as the Peter Thorp House.

Current owner of the Instagram famous @peterthorphouse and former resident of the home chat about the home's legacy. The home was once owned by America's favorite tenor and antique car collector, James Melton. In this video, James Melton's daughter, Margo Melton Nutt, discusses her memories of the home with current owner, Maryclare Roos. Mrs. Nutt also reads excerpts from her book, "James Melton - The Tenor of His Times". The home is featured in the Weston History & Culture Center's 2024 exhibit, "Weston...What Lies Beneath", featuring artifacts dug up on the property by the current homeowner.
